Header Braces
I just bought an nice set of coated Heddman headers for my 86. Unfortunately there is no provision for the old alt and a/c braces that attached to the old manifold. Any ideas on how to reattach these braces/

The only brackets built into the stock headers are the stand-offs at the bolt holes.
You can cut these from steel tubing, so long as the attaching accessory brackets will clear the header tubes.

There is not room to to use the stock studs. The headers come with cromed bolts with small heads to clear the tubes. On each side there was a stud that alowed you to attach the a/c and alt braces. The only way I can think of th reinstall the braces is to weld onto the new bolts.

contact summit racing, they;ll help you out. heddmen has relocation brackets tht will be used with theseh eaders ican almost guarantee it. I had to get an a/c relocation bracket for my monte carlo SS when i got their headers. they r about 15-20$ and r thick quality material.
