You guys think in 15-20 years the c4's might see a prices rising like even late c3's are doing now?
I plan to never just let mine sit but I try to keep the miles low so maybe then we might see prices going up well low mile well kept c4's no matter what style etc.
In 15-20 years which C4 models will be the most sought after? Besides the ZR1 of course.
Probably the most collectible C4's will be the RPO B2K Callaway Corvettes and the Corvette Challenge cars - few of each were made, each year and all have "the right stuff" for collectability - whatever that may mean in 20 yr's

Low mile Grand Sports and CE LT4 verts with *red* guts will be the most collectible of the regular production C4s, IMO. Of course then there are the "standouts", though, like the previously mentioned ZR-1, B2Ks, etc.

Better send this to the Kerry campaign Hqs! I'm sure that he will promise that your specific C4 will grow in value over the next 8 years if he gets elected! Now, Ralph Nader is another totally different story!
I think that you should go out and buy that low-priced 84 that has been for sale in the local paper all summer and lock it away if it has not been modded. In 20 years you will look like a genius!

Keep in mind that any increase in value will have to be over and above inflation.
For instance, that '69 coupe that sold in '69 for $6000 may now be worth about $30,000 in today's dollars....which in turn are worth about $5000 in 1969 dollars! Is it really worth more today? No...its worth the same or less, its the DOLLARS that are worth LESS.
Most "collectables" don't really go UP in value, they just pretty much HOLD their value while the number of always-decreasing-value dollars it takes to buy it goes up. Capice?
That said, the lowest production number cars will always be worth more....supply and demand. Genuine Grand Sports will probably come in second on the list (behind LT-5's) for holding their value best.
Yep - often overlooked, they made fewer Callaway's each year, and fewer Challenge cars yearly, than Grandsports - even when you figure convertible GS's, they still made 190 of them - more than any year of B2K production
ZR1's will hold more (than a regular C4) - as long as the legend lives
Too many CE's, LT4's, etc. to really matter in the long run - may over time be worth a few hundred bucks however - we are seeing cars w/ high options & outstanding condition hold more than a car such as those - that in the long run will matter on 98% of the C4's
ZR-1's probably would be desirable, BUT they are very expensive. So that has a collectible market of it's own. Like drinking $150 bottle scotch compared to $20 bottle. My vote/hope is going to be for the 40th Anniv. Ruby. Many were made, but the color on that car is a knockout
what about the cars built by Dick Guldstrand? i noticed one for sale here in the forum. i also remember reading about them in the magazine's back in the day, but i've never seen one or really heard that much about them.
