Default resonating flows

I have an 89 vert with flow masters on it and even though they sound pretty good they resonate really bad in the car. Sounds like a dang truck inside.
What is a good sounding muffler without the resonating and without paying an arm and a leg for them?
I am not a stang lover but the GT's sure do sound good. Why Gm doesn't make the Vettes exhaust sound bad *** is what I don't undestand.

Your vette will never sound like a Mustang. They do sound real nice with an aftermarket exhaust. But it's the firing order that makes it sound so good. It sounds like you have 40 series Flowmasters on your car. And they will resonate badly. 50 series or Delta series Flowmasters will sound much better. They don't cost much either.

I have 50 series Force I on my 1990. They are very deep without any resonance. However, they are too quiet, and I'm going with headers/muffler eliminators.

Maybe if you want, I can sell you mine.

most Gts you hear, have aftermarket exhuast. none sound very well at all stock. My mach 1 did however sound good. just not loud enough. and super 40's are a ncie way to go too. louder outisde, but not as much resonation inside.

Yep, I have 40 series Flowmasters on my 88 and the resonance is very loud at low RPM's. Outside of the car they sound great. I did have 50 series on an 87 and it had very little resonance in the car. Everytime I feel like taking them off, someone says your mufflers sound great . I still have the stock mufflers in the basement.

I was told that not much will help with the resonating since the tips are on the muffler right at the back. Kinda like having cutoff's under your seat. X-pipe tones it down a little bit and gives it a wicked sound at WOT. Magnaflow mufflers and x-pipe. Deep tone and just a few ticks louder at idle then stock.
