If you dont hear the motor for the antenna moving when you turn the radio on and off...it is probably bad. You can buy the motor complete with new antenna at any Corvette Parts website. It's not hard to replace yourself...I got the directions to do mine here on the forum.

I agree. But don't forget to check your fuse first. Always assume the SIMPLE.

There is a relay under the package tray just below the rear hatch. You could check for voltage there and test. Could be a bad ground too.

Yep one of those on the list of C4 failure parts. You can get a new one from Chris at Superior, GMPartsDirect.com or perhaps your local chevy parts for about $125. (list for 161.) PN is 10156160.

Easiest way to replace, assuming its a coupe, is losen the rear driver's side trim, remove rear hatch trim. locate the connector wire harness and antenna near the latch its buried in some foam pieces. Before you pull the wires through the bulkhead tie a long string to the antenna wire. That way when you pull them through tie the string to the new wires and pull them back through with the string. Jack up the driver's rear and remove the tire. Remove the inner wheel liner a few bolts and torex screws. You'll have direct access to it. There is one ground connection and a bolt that holds it in. Comes with a new grommet and just presses into the opening in the body.

It doesn't take too long to replace.
