126 a while back on I-45 south, too much traffic coming up so had to get on the brakes, speedometer was still skipping numbers to catch up Been over 100 alotta times since then but too risky to go much faster than that in most places around here.
165+ stopped looking at the speedo but stayed in it after that passenger says we hit 175. That was four years ago now she sees triple digits briefly but cruises between 65 - 80 most of the time.

Topped out at 172 on the freeway near the Tucson Airport at 2:45 am. Exhilarating to say the least, but handled very well compared to a Viper RT/10 I took out at 150mph which was a nightmare at those speeds. My gf was with me in the vette too.....not a fatty or anything, weighs about 115-120. but that's probably why the throttle was screaming so bad....with the extra weight. The digits kept blinkin at 171 and 172. Felt like I wasn't even touching the ground........the wot was screaming.....sounded almost as though the engine was gonna blow......so I stayed there for about 3 seconds and dropped out with a cloud of tire smoke engulfing my vette and a serious burned rubber and tranny fluid smell followed by a slight tranny leak found later that afternoon. Other than that I had 3 seriously squashed road kill insects on my windshield and I seemed to have burned alot more coolant than I usually do.
155mph. Late at night on a empty 4 lane highway. There was alot more in her, but it just takes so long to slow down from those speeds, plus its kinda hard to talk you way out of a 150+mph ticket.
I'd like to go to the Texas Mile sometime, but I need new rear tires before then, my Nitto 555 DR's are only rated to 150.

Anyone care to go for 200?Would anyone like to quote the slowest post?
I think my car could hit 195 or so but i won't be behind the wheel when its happening. Ive hit 150 and the digits were still jumping rapidly. That was fast enough for me.

I was thinking this thread was doomed to be locked at first so I hesitated to comment. But here it still is soooo....
I aired her out on a private 3 mile strip and when I saw the digital skip jump from 138 to 144 to 154 just that quick, and the tach was getting near 5 grand so I shut her down for fear of the distance it would take to stop without killing the brakes. I was surprised for a 90 L98, as it seemed to still have more. I guess the 2:59 gears are good for something. But honestly, I probably will never be the one to find out as all I could imagine afterwards was how horrendous it would be to have a blowout or break lockup at that speed and it gave me the ******. My hat is off to those top fuel guys. I just have this one problem...I wanna live.
