I found out yesterday I had some storm damage on my 96 ce. I had it under cover since the storm.
Yesterday, I go out to play with her and she would not start and she had a dent in the front bumper and side of hood (driver side).
I call Geico today and they where out here in less than three hours to write the claim. They are towing her to the shop today and will fix the engine (Optispark I think) and the body work. Wow, Great service.
PS for those of you in Ivans pass, be safe and god bless you.
geico sucked for me, theywouldnt even takem e as a driver ( im 17 and have a 90 vette) so we had to switch insurance co's for me to be on my own policy....... sucks....
Glad to hear about Geico's service. I had switched over to them almost a year ago. I've heard they are pretty selective about who they give policies to. They are alot cheaper, for where I live, than my previous insurance company. For $2600, I have full coverage on my '96 CE, '02 Mazda Tribute and '02 Honda Accord. Plus I have a youthful driver covered under the policy. I know someone who was refused a policy because of his long daily commute.
I switched to Geico when I bought my 86 Vett 8 years ago. They saved me over $600 a year from Farmers group. I've filed 2 claims with them on other cars I've owned for not at falt accidents. They took care of my cars, set me up with a rental and did all the phone work with the other partys insurance. No out of pocket cost.
I've got a friend thats an agent for AAA. I've had her revue my policy coverage and what I pay for premiums. As much as she would like to write a policy for my 3 cars she does'nt come close to what I save on my premiums with Geico..
My roomate is a claim rep for them, they flew him and his coworkers down to Florida to help keep up with the storms. He said today they were staying for 2 more weeks, damn weather is crazy down there
From: levittown pa. usa Even a bad day with my `Vette, is better than a good day at work

Hmm they were more than $ 600.00 more every six months than Allstate for me ( 2 vehicles on policy, not the `vette. No tix or accidents. No youthful drivers).
I remember reading a post here about GEICO furnishing radar guns to muni - law enforcement dept's...and then giving you great rates until you got a speeding ticket!
I've been with the same insurance co since 1975 - and I did try to switch once, but they screwed up the entire policy right from the start and I decided I wouldn't want to let them handle a claim if they couldn't write the policy properly. Most co's hang up when I tell them my rates anyway.

I read that story in a car mag (road&track I think).
GEICO bought 51 percent interest in the lazer speed gun company to save them from bankruptcy. Then GEICO handed out lazer guns to police agencys for free, with the clause that the must be used 24/7.
I don't care how good their customer service is, these scumbags will never see my money
