Got a 73 in a 55 about a year and a half ago. Went to traffic school so it never got on my record (no insurance problems). After all was said and done, it cost me $241.95.
That was my first speeding ticket in about 30 years but in all honesty, it was overdue. I have since slowed down.

I've received several tickets here in CA and have never had to pay twice. (none in the Corvette)
