Interior Question
Hi, a C3 guy here asking a question for my buddy who has an 85.
He has what I think is called the "Sport" interior, cloth seats that have a pattern inside kinda like houndstooth or a carbon fiber look, and I’m not sure of what the material is called. Anyway they are worn out and need to be recovered. The question is, does anyone make that material or kits to recover them? I have looked at most of the catalogs and leather is abundant, but the cloth is never mentioned.

If you check with car clubs or professional upholsterers, you should be able to find an upholsterer who has original GM material in his books. I have seen such a thing; mine originally came with cloth seats. I switched to leather when I bought it. If he wants to stay with cloth, that is probably the way to go. If not, then he has lots of sources for leather.
