After reading Coltcarbine's thread about the different C4 colors, I started thinking about maybe when I buy my first C4 next year, to get it painted a color that was available on earlier C4 but not available in '96. I always loved that Steel Blue Metallic! And I think it would look great on the newer C4 body. Or maybe even getting a custom color to distinguish me even more (but nothing as loud or garrish as that C4 pic that Mr. Magoo posted, no offense Magoo ). I was also wondering about custom interiors, I know that Vette Essentials makes great interiors for C5s, but I have seen nothing for C4s. Does anyone know of any companies that makes C4 interiors and how much could I expect to pay? What do you guys think? What would C4 general do?
If I were to get a Vette with the intention of painting it, I'd go with that later copper color (exact name escapes me, but someone will be along with pics and the name). Mostly because it's just plain gorgeous and relatively rare.
Most of todays c4 corvette owners would never think of changing the original color on a repaint for fear of lowering the resale value. If I were to repaint a c4 my color choice would be 85 light blue, [rare color and the nicest color on a vett I've seen]. Have a red 90 zr1 now wish it were 85 light blue matalic.

No offence taken that pic was kind of a joke, the color of my real Vette is in my sig.

With the lines of a C4, I think Daytona Sunset Orange would look great with polished wheels and black interior with accents. Ok, it looks great on the C6. Sorry
I just saw a 91 Steel Blue in mint condition at a Corvette show a couple of weeks ago in Connecticut. Really is one of the best C4 colors ever (and I think rare?) but what really made it stand out was the matching convertible top.
The first C6 I saw was the Daytona Sunset Orange. That color will never appear on any car I own!

Amen Brother!
To be honest, I'm not worrying about trying to sell it later as I intend to keep it and drive it until the wheels fall off! That being said, I don't have a problem changing the color of the paint or the interior. How much would a good paint job cost anyway?
