It garbs my attention that you bought this part and don't know where it goes.......but I think maybe it just looks differetn to you from what you have on your car.....so let's break it down.
1 ..Plenum..this the intake manifold on top center of the motor.
2.Plenum cover....the part you bought will just cover the plenum NOT replace it.

thanks for your help guys, thats where i thought it went, but it seems that there is an early model 1993 corvette and i thought i had the late model corvette so the plenum cover is made for 1993 L to 1996. Well it doesnt fit so i guess i have the early model vette. But i know i have the white styrofoam behind the plate and the mobile 1 sticker under the hood?
Oh well
any other easy way to tell if my 1993 is late or early?
thanks

There are two LT1 intakes, '92-93 and '94-96. I've never heard of late '93s having the later ones, but it's possible I guess. Apparently you need to send it back and order the other one. $143, huh? It better add some serious HP for that price! You can polish the runners on top very easily w/ sand paper, then Scotch-Brite and finally fine steel wool and it looks great. I also did the inlaid areas between the runners in red, sorta of like the LT4 look, but just on top and not the whole intake. Looks really nice.

Yes just look at the computer. If it is a smooth black metal case its the older models, if its a finned cast metal case it the newer models
