I had one of those Mitsubishi Lancers

, with a fart cannon next to me at a light recently. The kids in the car were egging the driver to race the `Vette, so the kid driving starts revving the poop out of that thing. I revved the `vette ( vroom-vroom ). The light changed, & the goofball in the Mitsu- mashed the throttle, burning rubber ( one wheel ), meanwhile, I made a right turn, laughing my *** off

So I just got my "new" C4. 1990 L98. I used to have a L48 in a '74 that I built to a reasonable spec.

Anyway, first night out, here's a kid in a Nissan next to me with one of those kazoo sounding mufflers. He starts racing his motor. My friend says "your not going to let him do that are you" ....Well, I'm 36, but for for that moment I was 16. All I saw in my mirror were headlights getting smaller and smaller....got that out of my system.

I had one in a sentra two weeks ago race me from stop light to stop light ( shut it down at 60) But I was not in the Vette I was in my 2500HD crewcab long box 4x4 truck. I still smoked it. These kids think that 17 sec 1/4 miles are fast.

I had an older gentlemen in a 4-cyl Lexus try to go around me after the tollbooths... I wasn't even sure he was racing me until he was along my door, trying to stare me down. I buried my food in the floor, and he was gone. However, by the time we hit the highway, I was doing 95ish, and low and behold on the 3 lanes, the middle lane had a cop, pacing me.

I immediately slowed down, so did he... and he pulled up along my window.... Smiled at what happened at first when he thought I couldn't see, but stared me down and left me alone afterward, and passed me. I was elated.

That’s the 3rd time since I received my license that a police officer has had the potential to pull me over, but hasn't.
