Sorry guys I don't mean to bombard you guys with questions right off the bat but there is so much I want to learn about this car.
I have seen pics of C-4's with the front license plate cover removed and a sort of forced air system put in its place. Who has this on their vette and did it make any change in performance? I am fortunate to live in Florida where we don't require a front plate on the car and this air vent looks real cool.

I think the above picture is what you saw. It's really not "forced air" but the faster you go the more air is channeled into the plenum. It's also cooler air (as cool as we can get in Florida) for better performance. It's a pricey system (about $450.00) and I believe there's some cutting to do to make it fit. It does look good though.
Yep...that's the one. I don't have it personally - I just run a K&N filter with an open lid (also from Mid-America), but I made that decision based on $$$ and not the possibility for max. HP gains. For now, the K&N is perfect for around-town tooling. The money I saved went to my headers, which I *can* feel. If I wanted to set up my car for Auto-X, though, I'd probably be considering something like this setup. Unfortunately, I live in CA, so front plates are a must...
Then again...I have "illegal" longtube headers, and come to think of it, I don't run a front plate, either!
Hey...welcome to Corvette Forum. The only dumb question is the one not asked!
Here is my ZR-1.
This kit yielded 7 more RWHP on the dyno with a leaf blower pointed at the front of the opening. That was my informal test evaluation a few years back.
But above all, I think it looks great.

Do you find you have to peal bugs off of your air filter, or worry about too much water entry in underestimate puddle depth?
The reason for the interest is my front plate cover is damaged and the air induction looks cool and adds performance.... kind of a win win but if its $450 I may rethink it if it doesn't add too much on the performance end.

I don't really drive much in the rain so I don't worry about it. And I don't have extra bugs on my filter, but I know what you mean.

Here's my setup. Not cheap either, but the quality of the kit is like nothing I've ever seen. I'm guessing that it's gains are the exact same as the other "ram air" kit since it's scooping air from the front of the car. Engine temps haven't gone up a single degree.. In fact, they went down 3-5 degrees since I'm using a "Big Mouth Air Dam" with this. I felt a nice difference on speeds over 45MPH
On the car:
And from underneath - I'm sorry, the car is filthy , it had dust from shaving the shroud all over it, and there's a trimming of the shroud on the Air Dam!!
I haven't taken any "clean/polished" pics of it now that the entire front end is spotless, and both units have been polished.
No, it's not. The guy that makes them is a great guy.. I talked to him a couple of times after buying this setup.
I got the Ram Air setup from a forum member - He got a C5, and obviously didn't need this. He saved me a few bucks, so I was happy .. But the day this arrived, my jaw hit the ground.. The workmanship is amazing. If I keep saying that, you'll think I'm getting a commission, but I'm being honest.
