I need the list of steps when removing the driver's side door panel. Before I bought the car, the panel has been off. Someone took it off and didn't put it on right. I am a stickler for these things (dang loose panel will drive you mad!) so I need to know the steps to how to PROPERLY take off the door panel. Thanks in advance.
Judging from your avatar you appear to have a 91-96.
90-93 are similar and 94-96 are the same.
For 90-93, there are 5 screws along the bottom, one on each end. Two in the door pull and three behind the door handle bezel. You will need to remove the lense to get to one screw and you'll need to remove the door lock slider to reach the other one.
Once you remove the two in the doorpull, I suggest disconnecting the power window switch and remote mirror switch(they are just plugs.
Also you'll need to disconnect the hatch release switch. I also disconnect the light that's above the door handle(not always necessary.
If 94-96 instead of 5 screws along the bottom, they are plastic push pins that just pop out.
Z-07 freak, you are silly. <---that is my favorite smilie
She's a 1995 model. So all I need to do is pull on the panel at the bottom to pop loose the 5 push pins. Then undo the screws inside the door handle. Then it will come out. After, I will want to disconnect the power mirror switch, power window switch and hatch release switch. Is this correct? Am I wrong/missing anything?
