The thought of a super charger has crossed my mind. I called Whipple they said the vette comp ratio was too high. Does anyone have a blower on their vette? What did you have to do to? And most importantly how does it work?
Not sure what year vette you have but there are blowers out there for just about every year made. Whipple doesn't make one for C4's but Vortech and Procharger do.
That entirely depends on how much boost you want to run. Vortech makes a very pretty kit for the LT1 Vettes. I've seen the ATI kit on a TPI car and wasn't terribly impressed, haven't seen their LT1 kit.
I prefer Vortech because it runs off of the engine's oiling system. Thus so long as your engine has oil, so does your blower. Regular engine oil changes also service the blower. Just my $.02
Honestly for the money you would spend on a blower you could probably get more performance out of a heads / cam / intake package and you wouldn't have to worry about the tuning headaches a blower would give you.

Your cast pistons will thank you for it and live a long life

Your money would be better spent with a stroker build or heads/cam/headers/gears.....Its not worth the headache trying to get your car to run right with a blower with all the tuning that needs to be done and finding a shop that KNOWS how to tune....Take it from me....its not worth it
