Wow, that things been in the shop almost every 1000 miles. It looks like he may have had a problem that they couldn't resolve. If it's a private party, the same one that was taking it in so often, why don't you just ask him what the problem was? If he can't/won't answer, you may want to pass on it. Your call!

Thats all I could think of also. Sounds like trouble. I cant think of any good reason why it should be in the shop so often.

I'd request the service records. I was down at my local Chevy dealer today getting some work done on my truck before the big move to AZ. There were 2 C5s in the bays also being worked on. He told me one of them was there for the 12th time in as months. The owner brought it in everytime he heard a strange sound or felt a strange vibration. Most of the time they couldn't find anything wrong with the car.

So it might just be that the pervious owner wasn't very machnically inclined and overly protective of his/her 'baby'...or the other's could be right.

Every time my wife brings her Lincoln to the dealer they wash it. Maybe this guy was just lazy.

Maybe it was a housewife's vette and she was having an affair with the service tech.
