http://www.rjsmith.com/rpo_85.html

1st digit country of manufactor 1= Good ol US of A
2nd digit Manufacter G= GM
3rd digit Make 1= Chevrolet (cause chevrolet is no 1
)4th digit car line Y= Corvette
5th digit Model Corvette Y =regular or base model, this was the only possible charactor until the ZR1 came out which was Z.
6th body configuration 0 = coupe.
7th digit I don't know
8th digit engine code 8 = L98
9th digit variable security code
10th digit model year F = 1985
11th digit assembly plant 5 = Bowling green Ky
12th I believe this is for cars that sell more than 100,000 a year, Corvettes alway seem to have 1 here
Last 5 digits is the order the car was built on it's model year, so this is car no. 6,400 to be built.
For options you need the RPO code sheet under the console lid, or rear storage lid, It has a series of 3 digit codes that tell what the car left the factory with.
