what about using sound deadning material like b-quiet or soundguard, dynamat or something?
I havent tried this, but i have heard these things to work wonders, does anyone have any idea on how this would help with general road noise and exhaust? I have heard that besides using sound deadning materials that using a composite with it also helps a huge ammount ?
I have found that if any part of the exhaust system is making contact with the Vette other than at the hangers or rubber insulators, resonance is terrible. The pulse along the exhaust system causes vibration and it is transmitted to the inside of the car in the form of resonance. It took me a while to isolate my B&Bs (3") so that they don't make contact with the X-frame or front hanger and the result is hardly any resonance.
I had the Corsa Power Pulse system on my 95. IT SUCKED!!!!
Quiet as stock, little performance gain and it didnt even fit right!!
My Corsa fit killer
no problems with fit or clamps
Love how it sounds...Long tubes are next
Its not quiet as stock... Its not a whole helluva lot louder at idle, but its got a much better sound out back.
No resonance
none Worth every penny
I'm happy with my corsas. Quiet at cruise, louder at WOT, looks awesome. Fitment is good, just have to make sure all the pieces are aligned and pipes fully seated. I do think i'd go LT headers without cats on the stock system if I had to do it again because there seems to be no real performance gain with the corsas. But I wouldn't have the nice tips on there wich I really like.

I wouldn't want to hijack your thread either but do yourself a favor and look AND listen to the B&B's. They will sell themselves. I have them on both of my LT1 C4's and they sound great and look impressive. Deeper than stock at idle, great at cruise and fantastic at WOT. I've never heard of anyone on any forum complain about them "cracking". That's not to say that it couldn't be happening but it's news to me. Remember that sound and noise tolerance vary with the individual so be sure and listen to as many systems as you can and then decide which one you like...no matter what anyone else says. If you listen long enough you will here horror stories about every product. Good luck!
To start with, I am not a fan of cat removal... they provide a number of benefits, not withstanding, air I can breathe, and back pressure... modern engines are designed with that in mind.
Besides, modern cats help clean up the airflow and do wonders for exhaust pulsing.
Long tubes, with high-flow bullit cats is a rock'n combo!
I have Corsa's. love'm! however, I have enough manifold leaks... the interior boom in 6th gear is deafening. one day REAL soon I am going to tackle that problem... and I ain't looking forward to it!
real happy with my corsas. but befor i laided down the kind of money you are concidering i would want to here them in person i did. i heard good and bad about all the systems you have mentioned.and if someone gives you a sound clip dont bother how the hell can you tell what a corvette sounds coming out of your computer all a mater of preferance the three you are concidering are all high end and big bucks
i want to add one more thing the guy who installed my corsa told me this was the nicest quality exaust he had ever installed 1hr to install

yep i had no issues installing mine...didnt have to cut anything and the clamps were tight and have stayed tight...i love mine
(p.s. Highway speed being 80 mph with a 2.59 rear in an A4. How fast you go and your gear ratio will be a factor in how much resonance there is. Now that I live back East where speed limits are so low, maybe the Borla's wouldn't be a problem.)
I have a 3.07 rear with a4 and am just worried about the sound between 65 and 75. roughtly (1800-2100) Any higher revs that that I don't really care because the radio is off and I am 100% road focused. California highway patrol is everywhere.
Thanks for all the help. I think I am going to start bothering some people at the next couple of vette events. I'll try to find someone with the b&b's and give them a listen.

for resonance, im sure corsas are better. but for me looking under a car and seeing the wimpy corsa pipes and almost 'fake- add on tips' look, it turned me off big time. B&B look the best by far.
Here is my opinion on the Corsa system:
What I don't like...
1. For that kind of money, they could at least include new hardware where the system bolts up to the exhaust manifold. The instructions say to re-use the bolts that are on the car which is almost always impossible. A measily 3 bolts would really save the customer some aggravation.
2. All four exhaust tips have "CORSA" written on them which looks really tacky IMO.
3. The tips themselves look like something that was bought at pep-boys and welded on. They look good from the back, but cheesy from the side.
4. The 2 inside tips are blackened by the exhaust while the two outside tips remain clean. It makes it look like you are running two dummy pipes.
What I do like..
1. No resonance
2. Good sound
3. Easy install
I have the Borlas on my 92 six speed. They really sound great but I do get some resonance at about 1500 rpms. This is about 70mph in 6th. Kick it up to 75 and it goes away. I'm not saying that you don't hear them, but they are not too loud. Around town and with the top off they sound real good, but tolerable. If you have an Lt1 see if you can find a set with the ZR1 tips. They look great.
