Ahhhh....I think I know what he's talking about...the little reverse-lockout ring that pull up....Mine rattles ALL the time.It's not big time loose or anything but that little bit of play and it vibrates...it makes ahelluva racket for what it is.
I have not come across any solutions...was thinking some grease on the shaft would shut it up.....

I was thinkn just on the shaft it rides on.You never touch that part...just haven't gotten around to it....lol 
I too keep a finger on the handle to hush it up...amazing the rattle that little bugger makes...lol

Mine used to rattle. Finally I loosened up the set screw that holds it it place and raised it up just ever so slightly and while holding it in the ever so slightly raised position, I retighten the set screw. Now I have no more rattle! This worked for me, no guarantee it'll work for you. But its worth a try. Good Luck
