I noticed the other day that my front lettering kit was coming apart. They were just stickers to begin with and had been on the car for almost 4 years. I decided that rather than go with more stickers it was time to get serious. I bought the gold plated stainless steel inserts from SSinserts, a supporting vendor of the forum.

Here's the before, you can tell they're faded and generally looking pretty crappy.

Argh, so it wasn't THAT hard to clean all the old adhesive off

Now here's the after. I'm afraid the picture doesn't quite do it justice.

I've got the rear set too but since my stickers there are still in good shape I'm not going to install them immediately.

I've seen the SS Inserts on their website and pictures like yours on the web but does anyone know for sure if that dealer does the inserts for the earlier year C4's. Mine has a round "C" and the double "T" is seperate letters. I have the tape on there now.

You would just have to contact the company to find out. It actualy scared me, right about the time I hit the submit order button I realized that it said 1984-1996 which is obviously wrong. As such I didn't know what I was going to get. I was very happy to see that it was actually the new style when I opened the box.

Actually I disabled PM feature. The forum administration has seen fit to let me know that it doesn't appreciate it's members, as such my interest in the forum has just fallen to the bottom of the scale. I only posted this thread because I had already taken the pcitures.

Should anybody need to contact me you can do so via e-mail. I'm tired of giving 110%
