Reach under the rollupshade and feel for a small springy bare steel wire. This is the manual release pull wire. You may need a pair of pliers to get enough grip to pull the wire outwards towards the right side of the car.

If you look on ebay you will find the latch. I just bought one from redneck43 and it works fine. Second time I have bought electrical parts from him and both worked fine. Easy to replace if you need to.
Also, up to 89 (maybe later) there is a second fuse that is hidden behind the DIC. 3A, pita to get to.
