Have you guys seen those power tuners that you can plug in underneath the dash board and you can change the shift points and the RPMs of the vette. Do they really increase the horse-power?
Do they really work?? Are they all hype and a waste of money????
Anyone used one and had good or bad results????

Mostly it is a hype and waste of money... however, on the automatics it does make a difference. You are able to adjust the shift points, control the fan temp switch, adjust the fuel curve (but not in a significant way) and various other things.
I have one and I felt a small difference, but if you begin to really dig into the mods, it is better to get a custom tune.

For those of us with 4L60Es, check out the Shift Plus from B&M. It's a little module that splices into two wires at the PCM and controls shift pressures that way. It has two settings beyond stock. The lower one shifts very quickly and crisp. The higher setting will loosen your fillings! Mine was about $30 and has been installed for many thousands of miles with no problems. I'm sure it has extended the life of my now over 100K transmission along with the B&M Trick Shift synthetic ATF.
