ecm question
i just got my 85 running and hooked up the wire harness and my alarm wouldnt stop going off, i got in the car and the securety light light up and i hear a clicking noise(like a turn signal). on imports i know u have to press a button and reset the computer. but i never did it to a chevy. what to do??

Just curious, did you have power to the vehicle while doing this or was the neg cable disconnected? If it was connected you may have blown a fuse or a relay. That clicking sounds like the security system relay clicking like is usually heard when a battery is near dead.
The obvious question how is the condition of the battery and its connections? Try removing the neg cable for five minutes then reconnect.

On my '86 when the alarm went off I also heard a clicking noise near the area where the security light in the center was on. Just put the key in the drivers side door and unlock it. That turned off my alarm and stopped the clicking noise...hope this helps!
