LT4 conversion kit?
I have been thinking about a hot cam and some other mod options when I stumbled upon the LT4 conversion kit on summits web sight. Have any of you done this mod and is it worth it. The price is $2300. This is not what I consider chump change and I don't mind doing the wrenching myself but I want it to be worth it. By the way I have a 96 auto. Any thoughts would be great.

It depends on what you want to do with your car... I personally don't think it is worth it. You can port your existing heads, stab a bumpstick, 1.6 or 1.7 RR's, exhaust, LT headers, and intake mods for roughly the same price. The LT4 intake and heads are superior... but only if offered as stock on the car. The $$$ it would take to go from the LT1 - LT4 I don't exactly think it is worth it.
