Just so you guys know, I'm not making any money on this. I marked up the last sets to $1.50 over cost. I'll never get rich at this rate!:smash:
It's worth the $1.50 just thinking of you sitting on the floor, going through those 1500 bolts.... :lolg: :jester

Chris, I got your check and your set will be shipped out Monday via Fedex insured ground (2-4 days).

Looks like there's 5 more that want a set already. I'm going to be out of town pretty much until May 9th... but I could make up some more sets.

I'll tell you what, if I can get another set of 9 buyers, I'll do another order. :yesnod: This next time around, I'd like to include 12 allen bolts for the intake base, and two more allen drivers. This would bump it up another 10 or 12 bucks though. I haven't figured out the details yet... I'll do that when I get back on the 9th.

IM'd you.

Also, class 12.9 is the metric equivalent of grade 8 standard. The stock bolts are 10.9... ~grade 5.

Put me on your next list of buyers. It would be great to get the additional 12 bolts for the intake. When and if you do another group purchase let me know at bbenn1961@aol.com so I can send you the money. :hurray:

One thing I realized after putting all these together, I should have used shorter fuel rail bolts than the stock size. I'd recommend substituting at least two of the M8x35mm fuel rail bolts for the M8x30mm intake runner ones. It worked fine for me.

These 35mm bolts are just barely too long (because of the tall head) to get into the passenger side front fuel rail hole and the driversside rear fuel rail hole without removing the runner tubes.

Hi, I got the bolts in yesterday, very cool....One question, I think I mentioned that I have the double sided bolt for my thermo unit. I got the 1 sided bolt, will this still be ok, just put the ground wire directly over the thermo and then slide bolt down through..the bolt should be the same thread size right? I don't have the car here with me at the moment to check?

chillcat, yeah, the stock bolt has the stud extending from it with the nut for the ground wire.

My vette has this too.. but I found that nut was a bitch to remove without the whole stud turning, and it was impossible to get a wrench on the bolt head below the groundwire... it was a pain in the butt all around....

Just throw that ground strap on there, and the washer, then the bolt, and you're good to go. :yesnod:

Package arrived today and looks great. Kevin did a nice job of organizing and packaging. Of particular note is the extra bag of spares that he so thoughtfully included. Now that's class!

 -JRC-

All sets have been shipped out. The last of you should receive them by next Thursday at the latest. I'll be doing another run of these with even more bolts when I get back in mid-May. Hell, I'll just IM all additional guys that expressed interest here. Stay tuned.

The bolt set works great. I got my fuel injectors back from Cruzin Performance, and slapped the entire sha-bang together in 45 minutes. I didn't use any washers, and it was a breeze with that allen driver. :yesnod:

All I need to do is pick up a 4mm allen driver to do the valve covers and I'll be done. It kit looks great and it really is a time savings. One thing - if you have a long reach magnet in you tool box, go out and pick up a mechanic's long reach grabber (technical term ) also.

Good job Kevin.

THanks  I'll try to get all the other necessary wrenches in the next batch I put together... Maybe even make some partial sets for you guys, to complete your sets with even more bolts..

BTW.. I think the VC's use a 3/16" driver.. and the small distributor and TB plate screws use a 3mm driver. Damn metric and standard is all mixed up on this thing. Basically, everything that bolts into the block or heads is standard thread... everything else is metric. :yesnod: :smash:
