Long tube headers
I used TPIS long tube headers and a "Y" pipe on our '96 LT1 coupe. The "Y" pipe had a 3" outlet to which I connected another "Y" pipe that was 3" in and two- 2 1/2" out. This eliminated the resonator also. I wrapped the headers with 2" header wrap, to cut down on under hood heat and pick up a few ponies.It will take a good day to do this project. Take your time and think things through. If you don't have access to a car lift, then use some "LARGE" jack stands and some form of safety blocks. the further away the cats from the headers the less they work. its best ot have them as close to the ehaders as possible... but I like this idea of putting them in place of the resonator!
