Default Windage tray, or not???

I'm building my 406 for my 87 coupe and am trying to deside weather to put a windage tray on the main stud bolts or not. I am trying to get my order in for a set of ARP main studs, and can't place the order until this decision is made.

I have included them in past engine builds but it seems to me, I've seem some negative words printed somewhere in the past 6 months or so. I just can't remember where I saw it or what exactly the problem was.

Anyone else see something about that??

How fast are you going to spin it? I've never built a performance motor without one.

Probably not much over 5 thousand. It's my daily driver. I will take a pass or two down the drag strip several times through the summer.

Like you, I've always used them in the past but, like I said, I saw some bad press on them somewhere recently.
