Spent most of the afternoon chasing down parts to fix my printing press with a lot of "shut it off, spend 3-5 mins. with sales people, start" I finally found the parts I needed to make the press work, but I needed to go home and get a bunch of tools while the stuff was being brought up for will call. On the way back, had to wait for a slow moving train, 1 signal and then parked at McMaster-Carr will call. Temp was normal. I was there for about 6-7 minutes, turned on the ignition, the car fired and promptly died. Did that about 3 times before I held the pedal down a little and she kept running. Let the throttle go and she started to die again. Limped back to work, fixed the press (about 1 1/2 hours), started the car without any problems. Drove home about 4 miles, still no problems.
Had the car continued to die, I would suspect the TPS, but since this happened the one time, I'm stumped. All the vacuum lines seem intact. the throttle feels normal, all the gauges seemed to be normal and the only code I've got is the EGR (of which all the parts have been replaced save the exhaust).
I would hate for something like this to happen on a long trip (I have 2 coming up in the month and a half)
Anyone have an idea.
TIA
