Come on ben, give it up. How much? Did you send them out or do it yourself? I recently finished polishing my sawblades but you got the teeth polished too. Looks awesome!
I paid a metal polishing guy to do it. I don't have anywhere near enough patience for that type of work! It was quite expensive at $200 Australian dollars per wheel. Thats about $150 US. At $600US, it might seem expensive to most of the guys in the US, but for me to have good looking set of wheels on my car, its pretty cheap way to do it in this country..
Also, as you can imagine, its quite labor intensive to polish inside all the spokes with their complex curves etc.. Flatter wheels like the 88-90 would have been much less expensive.
I am happy with them, they have bought new life to my old '84 ;-)
Great, I just love polished alu! You didn't have had them chromed did you? I use Belgom to polish everything by hand. That's on the bare alu. So you end up with a very fine sandpaper until al the paint is gone. And then start with the Belgom. I wouldn't do it with a machine because that could get ugly. So, if anybody wants, I would do it for this price!
I know about the labor, I polished my stock 84 rims by hand, each rim took over 10 hours to complete. They don't look quite as pretty as yours, but believe me they shine.
