Default Antenna sticking

I have a racoon tail on my C4's antenna. Every time I turn the Bose off or shut the car down the antenna goes down and sucks the tail down the little hole. What can I do to prevent this?

Edit: Gotta confess, saw this on another very odd forum and stole the idea. Hey, its dang cold out here in Michigan and there is no football on TV. Gotta do something to prevent cabin fever!

That's the beauty of the situation. Pulling the tail out of the little hole will PREVENT you from a case of cabin fever. Good luck and keep practicing ,you will get it right after a while .

I tied a racoon tail to my antennae, but the doggone thing kept scratching the paint when I lowered him back down to the rear deck

Default Antenna issue

jackdaroofer better watch out for them there animals rights activist they will have a field day with ya....da ya know what I mean.

Hey corvetteronw...your going to have all kinds of problems because the turn off switch is down in the antenna gears section.

You would have to find a way to defeat the switch or cut a real bigg holw for that critter to get into.

That would be one way to keep the gears in the antenna motor greased.

Hey Jack...if you gave him a "quick chat and a cuddle" before you tried to suck in down the little hole, he might be in a better mood.

I found out that it's not good to set anything over top of the antenna hole (like a rolled up car cover). I cranked the engine and the antenna, with some degree of power, pushed the car cover out of the way. -- Eric

If you are serious you can take apart your motor and try to modify the down switch to open sooner. When the antenna is going up the DK GRN wire is the hot and the GRY wire is the ground. When the antenna is going down the DK GRN wire is the grounded and the WHT gets the voltage.
