k i have the B&M ripper on my 93 zf now. im buying a new zf just for the car. I like the B&m alot, the shift throws are incredibly short... and the shifter height is alot shorter ( which is most important to me ) so it looks 10X better than the giraffe head stocker shifter.
I would like to know if the Hurst shifter has a shorter height than stock? or is it just shorter throws vs stock.
The b&m has a few vibrations i dont recall liking... and is a bit noisier... and also the shift effort just sometimes is a little tough although im atrtributing that to the zf i currently have. (yes it was a smooth shifter after i changed the fluid).
reason im debating on a hurst is cuz i recently drove a friends 96... and wow .. the stock shifter sure did move soooo easy.... felt kinda wierd but nice at the same time. so maybe the hurst is in the cards for me.

any opinions/thoughts would be appreciated..
Hey how are you doing, I haven't seen you in a long time. I have the hurst shifter and it is a little shorter than the stock shifter. For me it has a nice positive shift, firm, short enough and 100% better than stock. Have you done anything with the DFI system I sold you?
The shorter throw comes from both shorter height ( i'd say 1-1.5") and different shift linkage arrangement. It is billet, so the vibration would be thesame as the b&m i'd think as onlythe stock shifter has the rubber isolation mount style... From what iv'e heard the hurst splits the difference between stock and b&m in effort and throw.
