Default Worthwhile weight savings

Since I can't seem to find the other thread, lets brainstorm worthwhile weight savings again.

I weighed my early standard seats. The power seat came in at 35lbs, while the non-power was at around 28lbs. I am looking at replacing these with lightweight buckets to save a total of ~34 lbs.

But what else can I do? I don't want to drive a completely gutted car.

Narrow, lightweight front tires and lightweight wheels. Drilled rotors are for weight savings, not cooling.

Spare tire and jack are off.

How much weight savings is the AC worth? I almost want to keep it for originality's sake.

Narrow tires are not an option since I plan to do a little road racing next summer.

About 41 lbs for the AC

On my 90', I went went with a shorter belt after removing the AC compressor...small reduction in rotating mass without the AC pulley.

Go for lighter wheels. I remember picking up a box with two BBS rims in it and they were light as a feather.

Also the C5 Magnesium wheels are light as hell.

Search for "C4 weight reduction tips" and you should be able to find it. I created the post about 2 or 3 weeks ago.
