My drivers side window seems to be jammed closed. The motor tries to turn with an independant supply but does not move. Any ideas please as removing regulator looks a big job .
You might have something stuck in the gears like a wire. But this will allow you to look at it better and not thrash your window.
I agree!!!
Getting the door panel off is not hard to do. Remove all the screws in the bottom carpeted area. Remove the plastic door lock plunger/slide. With the bottom loose, and all other necessary fittings removed, lift up on the panel to release it from the top. Becareful not to yank on all the wires. Disconnect all the wires . There are many plastic parts that are very brittle so be very careful not to get heavy handed and force anything or you will be looking at repairing/gluing a lot of plastic parts. Once you do this once or twice, removing a door panel is a piece of cake.
All I can say is pull the panel and see whats hanging up. Pull the motor and bench test it, at the same time you can see if there is anything in the runners.
I know it sucks to pull the motor but at this point your options are limited.
