Default Will these work????????????

I am starting to gather my arsenal of go fast goodies for my Vette. I ordered my cam set up yesterday and am looking at headers today. I have a 96 LT1. I am wondering if these hooker super competition headers will work on my 96. They are from Jegs and the part number is 520-2061. They say they are for 91-95 Vettes. The guy I spoke to says that they will work. You know how that goes..... Any thoughts would be great.

Good thing I brought it up. I don't believe Hooker shows a long tube for the LT engines. A lot of people are using L98 headers, with little or no problems. Even for the LT engine *I* feel the 1 3/4" primary tubes Hooker uses are too large. But maybe that's just me.

Hmmm... I did not know Hooker does not show a LT for an LT... interesting. I had planned on hookers simply becuase of price.

I agree with CFI-EFI's comment on the primary size... although this is a widely debated topic. Although I have yet to find a cost effective 1 5\8th primary header for the LT's.

Cost is my main concern here too. I would love to go with the EM long tubes but can't seem to get the wife on board, especially since I spent a little bit on my cam set up.

If the L98 Hookers will fit the LT engines, I don't know why the less expensive Hedmans wouldn't.

The tube size is less debated than it is denied. Most of the nay sayers spout things like, "I put the big tubes on my car and I didn't lose any torque", or, "I have the big tubes and I love them." Some of the people are in denial because it's too late, and others follow the, "If some's good, then more's better, and too much is just enough, theory. Just a word to the wise.

RACE ON!!!
