Optispark bolt size
What size are the screws to take the cap off of the optispark? Torx??

from what I understand, it is just an INVERTED torx.

Some folks take a torx screw and weld it to a nut and use a regular socket to use the screw head for removal...

Don't know for sure, but this guy says the rotor Torx size is "really small" !
I would just buy a cheap set of Torx "screwdriver type" wrenches. I do know that the Opti torx screws do not require He-amn type torque, as so much of the unit is made of high impact plastic.....

Good luck, I am about 2 weeks away from replacing my Opti and WP. Are you planning on pulling your Timing Chain cover, and replacing the O-ring seals??

Torx size optispark rotor
Just some follow up info - the Optispark rotor is removed with a
T8 - got it from Sears $1.99

I took the hex screws out of the throttle body and used a pair of vise grips to take my opti apart. Total cost zero dollars.
