Default Dampener Q's
I just removed my smog stuff and installed headers and some other items on my '90 - I was wondering what the purpose of the Dampener that is mounted on the front of the water pump?

What will be the effect if I remove it, or shold I?

The story is on my site; bottom line...toss it and gain 10chp along with a cleaner engine compartment.

You are quite welcome. I wondered about that thing for quite a while till I met Gorgon at Carlisle and he explained the deal.

Don't throw it out, it could make an attractive lamp base...
