Have a 91 Conv. auto. Just redid whole engine (not flywheel). Chip. cam valves..flowmasters, bilstein (all around), weatherstripping, upgraded brakes, MSD Ignition and a waterpump. Even painted the L98 engine. Then I threw in a 3.07 gear ($350) as 243(?) sucked. I didn't go to D44 with a 3.33 as I wanted to maintain top end and half-way decent gas (I get 20 on highway).
She is darn fast but I am toying with a turbo, nitrous, a supercharger or...
Any great advice (or bad advice) from those been there before will be greatly appreciated.

before i would even consider one of those mods how many miles on the motor?? if it was me i would do a procharger. i have a 91 with 80,000 miles. and was thinking the procharger but with high milage i'm going to wait do a rebuild then add a procharger. i think you would open a can of worms. but i could be wrong. what is done to the car now??

Sorta depends on how fast you want to go. We have normally aspirated cars running well into the 11s and still getting decent MPG. A blower or turbo adds considerable mechanical complexity not to mention huge costs involved with the installation and parts.
Have you thought about putting a super ram on the your car? That manifold alone makes a lot of power and torq. If you have a matching cam, the other mod is cnc ported heads such as AFRs or others. You can easily build a 11 sec car with bolt on mods such as these.
Nitrous is an easier power adder, but you have to maintain a bottle and how much depends on your foot and your arming switch status
NO2 is the cheapest!
but.....
the most reliable is the stroker motor.... I would wait another 10-20k miles and when you do a rebuild just go 383 or 396.. 383 would be more cost effective.
everyone i hear who has a supercharger all wish they had gone stroker and then supercharger!
its impossible to predict 1/4 ets... right now I bet you are running mid to low 12s right?
with the stroker I bet youd run 11's...easily... you could always go stroker and get specific pistons for NO2 and also have nos and maybe get into the 10s... hehe!
the reason I am carful about saying hey go get on the bottle is because... its hard on your engine if its not done right! Its my opinion that when you hit the nos and it comes all at once that its a shock for the engine and its hard on it... but I like the idea of purge lines and also havin the nos come in gently(haha) and get more and more..
with the dana 36 that huge shove might break something...(highly unlikely but still). If your engine is built to take it then by all means do it!
but it is a fast was to reduce engine life.... but agian this is my opinion and I hang around my uncle at the drag and he has nos on his 8 sec drag but never uses it because he says he wants his engine to last and its fast enough..
I mean Id love to finish some more mods and get some nos..because with the amount of Money a college man makes its cost effective.. my car also has 80k on it.. but if i do it all go all out..but id prefer normally aspirated.
good luck your friend
