Default New weatherstriping

Just put in my Metro supersoft 7 pc. kit today. Yeah!!!
I know there are other threads that are about leaks, but I want to know about wind noise from the windows. I am sure my dad and I installed it very good. It fit ok, and looks great, but now my windows don't fit right. I think because the new stuff is not as compressed and deteriorated it is just taking up more space. Does the factory weatherstriping start out as full when new? Does the car adjust to it getting smaller over the years?
Oh yeah, how do I fix the wind noise problem?
Thanks

I have never done it but windows are completely adjustable to fit window opening. Remove the door panel and start tweaking.

If you are referring to the door WS, I installed a pair from that same manufacturer.
The part on the front part of the door was too thick. I tried to shave some off and messed it up. I bought another pair from Zip, for almost twice the price. The new pair fit good.
Compair the thickness of the old with the new.
With weatherstripping, you get what you pay for.

Did you mean "on the front" as by the outside door handle or by the rearview mirror? If you meant by the mirror then I think that is where mine is too big as well. I hope that there is something more I can do besides buy a brand new piece. Thanks for the speedy reply.

Near the rear view mirror. My door had trouble closing, and the window would not go up all the way.

If you still have the old: Compare the old with the new, you might find they are different thickness. Also, there is a plastic piece embedded at the ends of the OEM door weatherstrip, that might not be in the one you installed.

That's weird. My new weatherstripping is actually thinner than oem stock and the driver door leaks bad in the rain. I will see if I can put some silicone II and kind thicken it a little. Hopefully that will work ok.

that's a pretty common complaint with the metra stuff. I'd try adjusting the windows and get what you can. It'll get better over time.
