Default Rear brake Pad Installation ?

What is the proper orientation for the pad with the bias spring? Is it on the inboard pad or outboard? Also, I think that they are different from the right hand side to the left hand side.

If you mean the wear indicator spring,I always mount it on the inside pad, because it wears faster. The spring sould be in the trailing position so if it does contact the rotor it doesnt send the sparks into the pad.
