Which Way Does the Plug Go?
A buddy has an 86, 700R4 and the convertor lock-up plug connector is , Ah, unplugged. He asked me to post (computer stone-age guy), since I don't know the answer.
It's on the driver's side of the tranny, about mid-way back and has a square connector with two wires and two pointed pins.
Problem is he can't tell which way the plug goes in, with the pins facing forward, toward the passenger side, rearward or toward the drivers side.
Can anyone help?

It should only go in one way. Look for a cut & grove in the plug.Most if not all of these plugs are one way plugs.
