Default Targa adjustment?

Put the body colored panel in my '96 for the first time. Clear top doesn't leak. Front was tough to push down so the screws could grab. Anyway, took it through the carwash and it leaked like nobody's business. Little on my left knee. More on the front right corner of the passenger seat. And lots right onto the seatback of the passenger seat, just poured there. I think there is a way to adjust them. I assume that's what the two screws at eack anchor point are for. Should I move the back up or down to stop leaks? You would think the owners manual would tell you how to do it. Any help would be appreciated.

ok, I've probably had the biggest problem with my targatop on my 85, I accidentally bought a 96 targa-retarded me didn't even do my homework at the time of purchase, assumed one size fit all, but I bought an upgrade bracket kit, and to top off my problems--brand new weatherstrip put on, I about lost my mind trying to get that top down, so I took off the interior plastic panels and used sockets to loosen each bolt holding the front and rear bolt latches till they were very loose, then put the top on--tighted that down to the bolts, then tightened the latches to the frame, then loosen the targa top back off again, reassemble the panels back in the car and try that, you might not have had that targa down comfortably, OR check the weatherstrip on the car and the targatop....

I see you're from RI, and this time of year it's pretty cool up there. My experience with t-tops, verts and sunroofs over the years is that the gasket usually needs a little warmth to seal properly - you know, a good afternoon in direct sunlight. Otherwise, the suggestion posted above should work (have patience). I have a problem with the outer metal trim on the smoke top sliding forward and need to know how to move it back. It is almost a half inch off the glass at the very front. Any ideas on that one?
