Default Water Leak

On my 86 I have a water leak at the right front top. Near the throttle body. The water fills the right top of the intake manifold next to the valve covers. I have checked hoses, water pump, the throttle body and cannot find a leak. It appears the water is coming from between the front intake runner and the intake manifold. Is there a water passage there? Any idea where this might be coming from?

Not sure about your leak, but if you have an Optispark the water will get in there and cost you some real money.

Could be the intake bolt. There is a water jacket in the front of the intake. Let the pressure out of your cooling sytem, take out the bolt and put thread sealant or permatex on the bolt. Our intakes will sometimes have oil sitting on them - it travels up the threads of the bolt if it is not sealed properly.

Try to find someone with a pressure testor and you will be able to locate the source of the leak. Otherwise, it is trial and error!
