ABS Buzzing at me.

89 A4

When I get in the car and start it up, hit the breaks and put the car in reverse no problems. I can even let it set that why for a little while and dont hear or see anything. Back the car of the the garage and into the alley and stop. (Complete stop) About 2 seconds or so after I put it into drive I hear the ABS buzz and I get an ABS light for a quick flash. Is this just a stock setting to let me know that it's ready and working? Or should I be expecting some problems from it?

You should hear it "groan" as you reach 3 or 4 MPH in either reverse or drive. It's the ABS system self test - normal.

Do you get a buzz while moving or at a complete stop? Your post says 2 seconds after putting it in drive. Are you moving forward at that time or still at a complete stop?

as long as it goes through it's self test ok, My first instinct would be dirty wheel sensors. They get pretty mucked up
