I cant decide on mufflers- i think i like the magnaflows. but i havent heard very many. i know i dont want a corsa and flowmasters create alot of resonance. so any other ideas?
I installed B&B triflows (3") in my 96 LT4 and like the way they sound and look. There's a little resonance around 2k rpm, but I'm either above that or below it most of the time. They're pricey at around $1k and required a bit of "tweeking" to get them to fit. B&B says its an issue only with the 96, but who knows? I almost went with magnaflows and probably would have if they would have had a complete system for the 96 like they do for the earlier years.

I've got Hooker AeroChambers in mine
I just bought the mufflers and welded those in place of the stock barrels. Cost me $60 each and they sound gooooood

Hows the interior resonance? Is it a corvette specific aerochamber or a standard issue?
I'm a B&B guy. They were much quieter than I expected. Some resonance at 1700-2000rpm if in 6th gear under 55mph. Bad part of B&B is the clamps, they just don't tighten the system enough. I welded mine. Great looking system.
Now I found out that you have options on the B&B catbacks, You can get an X-pipe instead of a resonator (louder and lots of res) and you can get a resonator that doesn't snake down to 2 3/4"

I bought the standard issue 2½ offset in center out. I welded it up myself... went up perfect. I don't see why people are so willing to pay the Corvette tax on exhaust when you can get good mufflers and save the $$$ for other mods... although the B&B does look sharp
cats are already gone- do yall think i would gain any power by going to a diff mufler over stock? does the stock muffler flow good enough? i am all about saving money
