I'm replacing the shaft seal and some gaskets in my compressor, but I need to know the oil capacity since I had to drain the compressor. I checked my shop manual but no luck. Anyone have any ideas?

I bought a gasket set and a shaft seal kit from www.acsource.com they have alot of stuff. On the site they ask you what type of compressor you have and mine is a nippondenso 10pa20c, so I just ordered the parts for that specific compressor.
System capacity is 8 ozs and if it was leaking for any length of time, there's probably little oil left in it. I usually put 4 in the compressor and 4 in the accumulator (which you should also replace), but you can spread it out (depending on what's accessible and is being replaced) by putting 2 in the compressor, 1 in the condensor, 2 in the evaporator and 3 in the accumulator.
If you go the 4/4 route, you can turn the compressor shaft clockwise after you pull a vacuum. This will force some of the oil out and into the condensor line.
Do replace the orifice. A leaking shaft seal causes the compressor to shed a little more metal and can plug it up (I found this out the hard way - after I had charged it - the first time I rebuilt one).
