Default carb. on 85 vette

Out of curiosity will a edelbrock performer and holley carb fit under an unmodified 85 hood ? It's a route i've been thinking of.I've heard that the computer on this car is kind of limited as far as reprogramming goes.

If you use a carb junk the computer.
You will need to see if your stall converter will work if you trash the computer.
The converter will stall the engine and you will have to tune the carb to Idle.

I put a 600 cfm edelbrock on my 84'. Don't have computer runing things on my car and the converter locks up in OD just like its supposed to. I have the weiand x-celorator intake on mine with the K&N Xtream airfilter setup. There is more room than you think.

You can maybe plug in a Holley 950 or Haltech ECU instead. Not so expensive when you use your own sensors.

kpforce1: How is the low end torque with the Weiand? Is it the low riser version?

I'm not sure about the weiand intake is it a older one?How much room do you have under the hood with your set up?
