PCMfor less is having a Dynotune event later this year near me and I am looking for anyone with experience with their chips/dyno tunes. Are they good? They use a piggyback on the stock ECM are there any issues with that? Any feedback would be appreciated.
I'll tell you what, I'll guarantee your satisfaction.
Gm High tech magazine recommended us as good chip tuners for your LT1 for a reason. We don't advertise with them and they still recognized us.
The piggyback adapters we use jump infront of the memory section of the stock chip while re-using the spark and knock filter circutry. Its a seamless and reverseable, and it totally replaces the calibration on your stock chip 100%. Its a great thing because you can remove the piggyback adapter and go back to the factory calibration. Its also nice because if you ever swap injectors or anything like that you will not be without your car while you piggyback adpater is back in the mail for a reburn.
Alvin, I have a few friends that have used your services in ne pa and were quite happy with the results. Do you tune 87 obd1 stuff? I am running a 383 combo for many years with stock combo and I am getting the itch to do a dyno tune after the 406 is dropped in. I don't want to hijack this thread but though it was a good place to ask as info about you, and your services, have been requested in this post. Thanks, Pete Kane
Yep, I do everything GM basically.. ( a few of the fords too.. hehe )
We will be in Cochranville PA on March 12th at xotic motorsports if you care to join us..
That particular dyno day is for a group called speeddensity.org (you can find more info on the dyno day there under pcmforless.com) I have done quite a few for them in the past so I figured I'd cut them some slack on this one.. The price is $150 per car and dyno time is $37.50 per half-hour.

My experience so far has been great. Alvin sent the base tune bin for my mods, within a couple hours of talking to him. I loaded it and the car runs much better. I am going to have some datamaster files for him to look at if he needs to on march 12th when I get my dynotune.
I have done a lot of researching Alvin on speeddensity.org, and other boards that I could find. I expect nothing but the finest service from him on the 12th. He comes highly recommended.
