1993 lt1 Running Warm problem
ANy suggestions?
a hypertech Power programer. normally I wouldnt recomend them... but I got mine used and shipped for $150. you can adjust when your fans come on! wither 160 or 180! mine never goes over 205!!!!!!
may be a bad thermo stat that isnt opening early enough.. thats what this sounds like. check the thermo stat... replace it.... not expensive I think maybe $20. check coolant to amkre sure its full and that its not all dirty and what not! a coolant flush wouldnt be a bad idea if you havent had one for awhile. but id bet $ its the thermo.

If you want to spend a little money slap on a Meziere pump, does wonders on my car, only mine's still over heating because I have a pressure leak somewhere apparently, go figure, always an issue.
If you want to program to turn the fans on, go through PCMforless.com, don't bother with a Hypercrap, new or used, not worth it.
Also, clean in front of the radiator, you'd be suprised how much crap gets up in there. I was diggin' through my car when I got it, found a Fliptz Pretzel bag in there haha.
Oh, and lastly, you have an LT1, may just be running like it should, these things are always get a bit toasty once and a while. This is my second car with an LT1, seems like a day in the park when it's over 200*, it's the 250*+ that scare me now.
