I posted this question in the Tech/Perf section but have yet to get a reply. Hope this section is more helpfull.
Well after a long winter and a ton of mods done to my 86', I have one last hurdle i must jump. That is as soon as I get Jessie my chip to burn. That last hurdle is to get my vette on a chassis dyno. What is the best dyno to get my car onto (model). Also if there are any NY forum members (upstate) out there that can point me in the right direction as to where to go I'd appreciate it. I have found plenty of chassis dyno's to take my car to but the big problem is, is that Im hoping that one of these shops have a tuner on hand. If anyone out there can help me out, id greatly appreciate it
I wouldnt worry about the type of dyno, or the availability of a tuner on hand. Jesse, as with most tuners, can read your dyno sheet and improve your tune from there. Sure it would be better to have someone tune while its actually on the dyno, but you already paid Jesse, and a new tune will cost more than just the dyno runs alone. Make sure you get a print out with as much info as possible for every run you make. Then just post them here or send them to Jesse so the appropriate changes can be made. If you can datalog while the run is made that would be even better.
I havent paid Jesse yet. Im sending out the chip next week to him tho. From what he says (jesse) he will continue to burn a chip whenver it is needed. So do i just have him burn one for me now, then put it on a dyno. Get a printout of the dyno and send chip back to jesse for him to make the appropriate changes?
