Will a short run with open headers hurt?

I am in the middle of getting my exhaust ready for some new high flow cats and since I had the header-back portion of the exhaust off ofcourse I wanted to take it out for a good hot lap! Will running open headers do any damage until the cat-back goes on??

Nope, drive it like you stole it. Neighbors might not like it though. I know mine didn't appreciate it when I started up with open headers at about 1am, lol.

It will be fine, and LOUD. When I did a little drive around the block after I installed them on my 85 set off two car alarms! Decided to go straight back home before the cops got me for a noise volation.

Sheet, f em'. When I put the Hooker's on my vette, I drove it down to the exhaust shop with open headers.

I couldnt wait for you guys to answer so I went for it...HOLY @#$*!!!!! That is what I want to drive! I think everyone should try that once. I learned first hand about making women and small children run!

Yeah it's fun but it gets old after a few minutes unless it's warm enough outside to roll the windows down.

I drove my 68 camaro with new motor and open headers to the airport and back to drop off the GF. There must have been a flame show underneath, no one came close to me.
