knocking when bliping the throttle

knocking when bliping the throttle
title says it all
when i rev the car slowly from idle to 4000rpm, no knock is detected, but when i blip the throttle, i get some knocks
is this a normal, harmless condition, or something bad?
car is a L98 8D SD ECM

My car does the same thing. Even if I have no Knocks goin zero to 100 mph, I still get them in neutral. Its been there since I started scanning a year ago. Does not seem to be a problem.

Yep, all my engines do this when the throttle is opened rapidly to standard atmospheric pressure.
Well.... This WILL be a controversial statement but I'll go ahead and make it anyway:
1) Rapidly opening the throttle, EVEN ON A NORMALLY ASPIRATED ENGINE, creates a momentary 'OVERBOOST' condition.
2) Overboost can and will cause pinging that will be detected by the knock sensor.
From those that think about this and understand the IC engine I will receive no flames.
For the rest of you guys...... blast on.
